The Sabbath Question re-emerges
A WORD OF CAUTION! A writer in a women’s magazine, addressing the problem of stress in the lives of busy women, said that one of the ways to overcome chronic tiredness was to be sure to have a full day of rest, and she encouraged her readers to make it Sunday. Germany has Sunday laws to make Sunday a different day. The Roman Catholic Church is asking for Christians everywhere to work together for civil legislation to ensure a Sunday rest, not just for Catholics but also for the entire world.

God gave His blessing of refreshment and well-being for the seventh day of the week. We cannot function fully by choosing to have the rest on another day, for instance, resting when our bodies are once again ready for action. We cannot argue with God. His ways are certain and cannot change.

Which day will you observe, for your rest with God? Will it be the one that God in His wisdom has chosen for us, or will you ignore His instructions for your life? If you choose to follow God’s ways, you will have to act in the face of a tide of opposition and loneliness, but you will have the blessing of God and many new friends. To ignore God’s plan is to have a life that is often no more than just functioning routinely, with no hope for a future reward. God asks us to make the choice today to stand in loyalty to Him, and find through the hardships, the greatest degree of fulfilment and opportunity and an abundant life.

GOD’S APPOINTED PLAN IS THE BEST PLAN FOR OUR LIFE AND HEALTH
